Garden Cleanup: Anastazia Montero

  Hi, My name is Ana Montero and I am in 6th Period Biology and this is the Summary of my Garden Cleanup experience for the 3rd quarter ESLP Project. I chose to do Garden Cleanup as it has been fun the last few times and I most likely will do it again for next quarter also. I split my time between two days, Wednesday the 21st and Thursday the 22nd. 

  Both days of the project I cut weeds with a small group to prepare for the incoming BIO-site kids. We each tried to tackle a single garden patch, but it was mostly people cutting for a bit then walking to the next patch and cutting there, then switching to the next one, etc. We started with a patch that had grown weeds almost two feet tall. By the end of Day 1 we had it down pretty far, but then disaster struck. It rained constantly overnight and the weeds grew back almost as tall as they were before and the cycle started again, but with less of us.
