Garden clean up
In garden clean up I stayed for 2 hours and what I did in those 2 hours was to cut or rip wheats of the ground and next I put them in a bucket after that I would dump it onto the multch pile until the bucket was full after that I put more multch on the pile the multch that I put on had to be light and it couldn’t be dark I did that intill the pile was full and then I moved on to the next one and made it half full after that for around 15 minuets I picked up trash around the garden or school and threw it away
Garden clean up
Hello my name is David Sanchez and during garden clean up I helped out in doing two things first thing I did was pulling out the weeds and the second thing I did was putting chicken compost into a bucket and dumping it into the a pile of dirt. What we did helped out the garden because It made the garden look cleaner and better then it was before then when it had a bunch of weeds around the boxes and the piles of dirt were uneven. This project was dun and after completing my hours I felt good for doing something good by helping out in the garden. I would definitely do this again, now before I end my blog here are some pictures of what the garden looked like after we finished.

garden cleanup- Nick Fordyce
This time in garden cleanup it was my second time around doing garden cleanup for the ESLP project. I did garden cleanup on two different occasions with Joe and Jaydn. Both times we worked on shoveling grass and greens along with dirt onto a compost pile. Over the two days we did the same for both days of just shoveling various things into the compost piles. We did 4 compost piles over the two days. I felt this contributed to the garden because we did some productive work for the garden by composting.

For garden clean up I did 2 different thing. My first day of clean up, I started by clearing the walking path in the school garden. I did this by clearing the weed in
the pathway of each garden. This is important because the pathway used
to be covered with different types of weeds and you couldn't even see
where the path was. The next day I started to cut the grass in the inside
garden so we can see the different plants from the story of the seed project.
This was also important because before the plants where not even visible.
Lastly, when the bag was full of weeds we went and dumped in the compost pile
which is made by alternated between grass and dirt. It was important to alternate
between grass and dirt because, it will help speed up the composition of the grass. In total I worked 2 hours on the clean up crew.

Garden Clean-up- Jessica Cervantes
We only have photos of the aftermath of our whole garden clean up. As shown in the photo above my partner and i both picked up small weeds that grew within the wood pieces. We had a wheelbarrow where we threw in the weeds we yanked out. It took about an hour n a half to where we can visibly see much of the progress.

For my third Service Project, I decided to do Garden Clean Up. I enjoy being outside and in nature so this seemed like a great project for me. I did my work on March 28 and March 29. I can say that overall it was a great experience.
On the first day, I completed one hour of work. I first went around the multiple gardens on campus looking for trash that was left behind. Most of the trash I found was made out of a form of plastic which can be harmful to plants and animals. For example one of the chickens might mistake it for food and that would not be good. After going around looking for trash, I started working on pulling the weeds out of the student parking lot. I pulled out the weeds of at least half the garden.
On the second day, I went around again looking for trash to begin. I found some trash but not as much as the day before. I then grabbed some gloves and a bucket and continued to work on pulling the weeds out of the student parking. Most of my work was done in that garden. Since it rained for weeks, it was easier pulling out the weeds. In the end, about two buckets were filled with weeds that were pulled out that day.
Below are some pictures that show my work throughout the past two days which includes picking up trash and pulling out weeds.
The picture below is showing the finished product after pulling out the weeds.

Lizette and I went to do our service project on Wednesday and we cleaned the chicken coop.So Lizette and I started to use shovels and filled a bucket up half way of chicken poop and dirt.Next,we dumped the stuff into a wheel barrow until it was half full. Then, we took the wheel barrow to where the compost is and dumped where Mr. Burcsh told us.Lastly,we finished shoveling up the poop and sum of the dirt and took the wheel barrow again and we finished.

Garden Cleanup: Vivian Vu
For this round of service project, I did garden cleanup. I went on March 28th and the 29th to finish the two hours project. My task on the first day was to pick up trash in the surrounding areas or areas that Mr. Bursch had told me and my friend to clean. In order to do that, I had to get a pair of gloves and a black bucket. After I'd finished there was a remaining 20 minutes, so what I did was pulling weed out of the ground and putting into the bucket. I also used a garden tool if I felt like I was struggling to get the root out of the ground. However, I did not encounter any difficulty because of the rain (last couples of days). The second day, I continued picking weed off the floor. This contributes to the garden/environment, because the removal of weed help lessen the plant's competition in the garden (for nutrients and water). This also make the garden more attractive because weed can make the garden look messy. Also, the removal of trash enhances the garden by making it more clean and attractive. These following pictures are images of the results of the garden clean up. As you can see the first bucket is the first step and the rest of the photos are the work that was done within those two days.
Garden Cleanup: Anastazia Montero
Hi, My name is Ana Montero and I am in 6th Period Biology and this is the Summary of my Garden Cleanup experience for the 3rd quarter ESLP Project. I chose to do Garden Cleanup as it has been fun the last few times and I most likely will do it again for next quarter also. I split my time between two days, Wednesday the 21st and Thursday the 22nd.
Both days of the project I cut weeds with a small group to prepare for the incoming BIO-site kids. We each tried to tackle a single garden patch, but it was mostly people cutting for a bit then walking to the next patch and cutting there, then switching to the next one, etc. We started with a patch that had grown weeds almost two feet tall. By the end of Day 1 we had it down pretty far, but then disaster struck. It rained constantly overnight and the weeds grew back almost as tall as they were before and the cycle started again, but with less of us.

Garden Cleanup
So for this project that i recently did was a fun one because me and my friend mateo both asked Mr. Bursch if we could go on and sign up for the garden cleanup. After that he said yea sure, so we both went out to help with the garden. Mateo and I both went out on Thursday 3/22 and we also went the next which was friday 3/23. We both stayed for about a good hour for each day we went and we got some good work done while we were there. First Mr. Bursch had us pick some weeds from the little box plant where all the plants and vegatables were and then after that we put the weeds in a little bucket then when that got filled up we dumped it in the wheel barrow. When we was done with the weeds i took some pictures of a before and after shot of before we pick the weeds and after we picked them. Then the next day we went we checked in with Mr. Bursch and then he had us do the same thing but this time there were more weeds then last time. So basically we did the same thing as the last time we came. Overall this project was very good and was a benefit for the garden. It was a benefit for the garden because we helped the garden out by making it look better and healthier. We also picked up scraps of trash that people left there when they were eating their lunch.
Here are some before and after pictures:

angiosperm's seed are found in a flower. The eggs are fertilized develop into a seed in the ovary in a flower. The flower of angiosperms have male and female reproductive organs

How does your garden grow?
During this past school year my partner and I learned that plants make their own food through photosynthesis. When a plant's cells use respiration they intake oxygen and produce energy and carbon dioxide as a by-product. For each cell mitosis results in 2 daughter cells with this increase in the number of cells the plant grows.
Most of the phosphoglycerate made b y rubisco is recycled to build more ribulose bisphosphate, which is needed to feed the carbon-fixing cycle A protein synthesis occurs when a enzyme is needed. The protein synthesis happens in the nucleus and ribosomes. Before protein synthesis happens transcription has to make a copy of DNA. The 3 letter sequence was RNA and RNA had codons which correspond with amino acid. After, the RNA is sent to the ribosomes. Once that all happens translation creates the correct amino acids. Once that all happens you have a new enzyme ready to use again.

The purpose of this science lab in Bio, is to learn the reproductive system of plants. First, I learn the part called the filament in a flower ,which is attached to the Anther. It is crucial in the reproduction flowering of plants. It produces the male gametophyte, known as pollen. This part is easy to break off and is attached to the Anther. Secondly, the tube on the flower is called a Style. The Style leads to the ovary that contains the female egg cells. This part of the flower is good for the pollen and eggs. Also, The Ovary with the ovule which is located near the pollen tube produces the egg cells.
This is another part of the flower name a stamen/style.It is attached to the long, tube-like structure called the style. The style leads to the ovary that contains the female egg cells called ovules. This part of the flower is important for the pollen and eggs.

How do flowering plants (angiosperms) like our Brassica oleracea plants reproduce?
What happened to the plants in my group was they were slowly turning green and then they started to reproduce again its cells and then it just kept growing larger and larger so then we were just observing the plant as it was growing more.
