4th Quarter Garden Cleanup Ana M

 Hi, My name is Ana Montero and I am in 6th Period Biology and this is the summary of my Garden Cleanup experience for my 4th quarter E.S.L.P Project. I chose to do Garden Cleanup as it has been enjoyable the last couple of times and I like making the school look nicer, especially the gardens themselves. I split my time between two days, Wednesday the 16th and Thursday the 17th. 

 For Day One of my time I cut weeds and picked up trash with a small group at one of the gardens between us and the Middle School. At first we started off slowly, as the day was warmer than most of us expected but then we kicked it up a notch and started pulling weeds faster. One of the people in the group accidentally pulled out a tree sapling that looked like a very large weed. It was not a good start to the afternoon but we pushed through and made it through the day with two buckets of weeds and one bucket of trash.

 For the second day I spent the afternoon cleaning up a small rectangle patch near the math wing with two other people and refilling it with new mulch. Not a lot happened compared to the first day, we kept finding spiders and roly-polys and having to carefully relocated them to the new garden without dropping them or getting bit by a spider. We finished just in time to go home.
