Garden cleaup

   In this round of garden cleanup I worked on picking the weeds in the parking lot garden. Me, and a few others gloved up, took a shovel, and went to work, getting all of the weeds away from the plants in the garden. This is important because these plants for 1, can harm the plant that is already there, which we want to keep healthy, and 2 they need to be picked so the maintenance workers at the school don't poison them. The issue is, if the weeds are not picked, the maintenance workers come by and spray pesticides on them, which kills the weeds but can get on the plants that we want to keep alive, which injures and kills them. So picking is the most effective method of keeping the weeds away, and that is exactly what we did, picked the weeds with our gloved hands, and tools, so the plants could healthily stay alive.
