Omar Villalobos's Garden Cleanup #3

In this garden cleanup , me and my friends worked very hard to move the dirt to the box. We worked hard for two hours , and learned a lot from it. I have matured a lot from this experience by working hard and working with my teammates. we also were taking care of the chickens , and they looked very hapy after we took care of them. I also bonded with my classmates. I hope that we do this again because this was a great experience to take part in.

Hugo Waterfall's Fall Garden Cleanup #3

During my two hours in the garden, a group of three other classmates and I worked hard shoveling mulch from the pile seen in the first picture into a wheelbarrow. We then took turns spreading said mulch around the chicken coup, our final result shown in the second and third picture. I think we really improved the state in which these chickens live in and also the garden as a whole. The last half-hour was spent working with the actual plants that are being grown. Here, we pulled the weeds in the pathways and I carefully trimmed the grass around the "merchandise", being careful to not accidentally cut the plants. My efforts turned the overgrown plot into a tidier display of the plants, as seen in the final picture, bettering the garden and the organisms in it.

Garden Cleanup #3 Morgan F

In this clean up, what I did was help clean the chickens house up. When cleaning Katie and I saw some really cool things like the chickens eggs. It was cool to see because you wouldn't really see that on a day to day thing. It was also really cool helping living things like the chickens, the plants and the soil. In this garden clean up was the best cause we really got to work with the chickens for then anything.

Jordan's Garden clean up 1st day

In my first day of the Garden clean up, the task that was given to us was simply just to put some wooden-like structures with sands that came from the pile of them in the corner part of the parking lot. As expected, this work made my backbones ache since I was the one who was fully-participating at that time and the others seemed like exhausted too much already that forced me to help them in order to finish the work immediately without failure in the goal of that work. But I don't blame anybody since it was my choice and I'm so glad that we gave a new look in the shelter of the chickens.

Jordan's Garden clean up 2nd day

In my second day of Garden cleanup, the task that was given to us was to simply just remove all the weeds outside the Rectangular Plant Tray. There are pretty much of them that we almost took more than half an hour as supposed to be just about half an hour of that day.

How Does The Garden Grow?

HOW DOES THE GARDEN GROW?

BLOG POST # 6

The first step in getting a garden growing is to sit down and make a plan. This applies whether you are working on an existing space or creating a new garden from the ground up and skipping this step can go a long way toward adding to your frustration when things aren’t going so well mid-season. The garden plan should include the nuts and bolts of the garden space; everything from dimensions to soil type, sunlight and shade notes to water availability and drainage. It also needs to guard the plants to find out whether there is a canoe or something damaged in the garden. Do not let the water drain into the plant pot so it does not drown. And this is what I know of how to live in the garden

Jonathan's Spring Cleaning Blog Post

Although I did only two hours of garden cleanup, it was fun mulching the garden fields and scooping the chicken waste out of the coop to turn it into compost. I also tried my best not to let the chickens out of the pen. Cleaning up the environment is always a good thing to keep the Earth clean and healthy. The mulch prevents weeds from growing around the area and when the chicken waste turns into compost, it can benefit the soil massively; it is a good way to grow plants and prevent trash from going to the landfill. If the compost mixes with wood chips and leaves, then it becomes mulch.
