1) The part of the plant w the largest variation are the leaves because they come in different sizes and shapes like on any plant it could have oval leaves that are big and might have green veins.Others might have even purple stems while others just have the regular green ones. Their can also be a difference with the height of the plant as well. Some plants are small and maybe big while others are tall and small, like the brassica plant, their all different.

2) Their are many different characterisitics with the Brassica plant because of the genes and traits. The Brassica plant uses selective breeding to give their children different traits to see which have a higher chance in living and to know what changes to do in the plants genes. Now we use different plants to breed with the Brassica which is called Artificial selection. Another thing is that some plants don't even need breeding in order to make changes within itself. Sometimes the plant gets exposed with something causing a mutation yet mutations aren't always a bad thing so it could give it a advantage or a disadvantage. Though these plants will pass their genes they will also pass the mutation, which will end with more variations of the brassica plant.

3) The stems are the most consistent part of the plant. Most plants usually have around the same thickness and color with their stems. This is probably due to Decent Modification and how the past Brassica plant had these types of stems and thickness with their stems which then got passed down with their offspring. Lastly it seems that their wasn't much of a mutation to effect these genes due to how many plants now seem to look no different in their stems.

4) In my opinion breeders might have to do Artificial Breeding in order for a mutation to occur in the plant that changes the stems. It would be difficult since you have to find the right mutations that effect the stem or effect the color of it. While thats difficult Artificial Breeding won't be such as hard since your options are more minimized. You could just use a Brassica plant and pair it with some other plant with around the same genes and just see what happens. Due to this theirs a higher chance in the changes within the stem in the plant.

1)The part of plants that has the biggest variation are the leaves because many of them come in different sizes like some of my plants that looked like an oval and have green veins.Something else that has a lot of variation is the stem. Some stems have green stems but others have a different colors like purple. Finally one last thing that is different for each plant is the height some plants are higher than others unlike mine that's small.

2)The variability in brassia plants is a lot because of genes and traits. The brassia plant only uses selective mating to give their children to give them different traits to see who has an advantage which is smart for the plants to do that changes the plants genes. That the effect of descent mortification happens and the new plant passes down its genes. In the beginning tho it was only natural variation.Sometimes tho they do not need to breed to have a change in genes Sometimes there are mutations in some plants that get exposed to something which can change the plant's genes to give it an advantage or disadvantage, but in the end once the plant passes on its genes it will pass on the mutation it got to it's children which will end with more variations of brassica .

3)The most consistent part of a plant is the stem because a stem of one plant differs from another because one might be thicker than the other and it might also be a different color .This is called descent modification and how the parent plants gave of the same traits and in my plant there is not any mutation that messed up the phenotype

4)What I believe plant breeders have to do is use artificial selection to get the stem to get affected and change its traits.I think the mutation would be hard because if you make a single mistake it can cause the stem to change its color and artificial selection is probably easier cause you can just pair up to plants of the same species and wait until the phenotype changes and that will give you the same type of plant/or same species as you started off as.

1) The Plant parts that had the biggest variation are the leaves because the amount of the leaves and sizes and shapes on mine and other plants in the garden vary in color and other differences. Some have large veins while also having bigger leaves. Other variation that is included is the height of the plant, suggesting that they have adapted to their environment of low amounts of shade by lower to the ground.

2) The amount of variation of the plants because of the genes. The plants use selective breeding to give the plants children the best possible chance of survival. this allows future generation to have an advantage over their rivals. The decent with modification helps the plant survive more harsh conditions.

3) The Part that seems to be the most comon is the stalks, that never change. these are on all of the six known cultivated species of the classical U-triangle, the wild relatives of Brassica oleracea and the genus Brassica as a whole, to its most related genera. The six Brassica species of the U-triangle are usually referred to as crop brassicas, a fortunate denomination because Brassica species outside this group have a limited agricultural importance.

4) Plant Breeders must find the plants with the thickest stalks and breed them to get bigger stalks. This allows it to have more nutrients to flow through the stalk, making the plant much better as a whole. This in return makes the food be better and more nutritious.

Garden Cleanup 1

For my Service Project I joined the Garden Clean up crew. I was put into a group with Joe Valline, David Navarro, and Nick Fordyce. We were all told to sort out the compost bins. We had to dig out the grass from the last two bins and layer the first two into a "dirt-grass dirt-grass" pattern. We all spent about 2 hours and 15 minutes total over the span of 2 days working on organizing the compost bins. We would have to wait on the group that was cutting the grass out from the garden to bring us new grass so we could continue to layer the dirt. We continued this until the first to bins were full and the last two had been emptied out. The dirt in the last two bins was from the same process we had been doing from the previous group last semester. everything had been broken down until most of the material had been turned into dirt. The process will now restart until everything is again, broken down.

During garden cleanup I cleaned the parking lot. I pulled all the weeds fro the ground. Another day, I cleaned the garden by picking up all the trash. I mostly cleaned the garden for 2 hours.

Garden Cleanup.

Christopher Delgado Jaime Jesus period.5#

For my 3rd service project, I did Garden cleanup so I stayed after school. I like to be outside and I also like to go to farms because its very interesting for me so I was convinced to do my 3rd service project for mr bursch on the Garden cleanup. I stayed by the chicken koop inside of the small house and I organized it cleaned out any trash that was left and I organized the house and got all of the trash cleaned and then I got all of the big heavy bags and put them inside the small house and I put the bird houses out for Mr.Bursch. After I was done with that I decided to help Jackson Dupler and the boys that were in the coop and then I just went out looking for trash that was on the floor next to the small house and just picked it up.

ELSP # 3

For this project we had to clean up the garden that we have here in the X-wing. What I did for my first day I dug out weeds out of the ground so we can walk through the little walkway. Then me, Elias, and Edrick got scissors and started to cut down the grass where a patch of lavender was growing and I only got through half of the grass. Then for my second day I went to the garden in the parking lot with Ethan and dug out some weeds that were growing there and i finished my hours doing that.

Garden Cleanup fun

<IMG_1910.jpg>
<IMG_1917.jpg> For my ESLP I chose to do garden cleanup.  This was my second time doing garden cleanup.  I chose garden cleanup because I have always loved working in gardens. For my first part of the experience, I picked up trash from all around the garden. Next, for the rest of the time I cut the weeds in the main garden and then I completely picked them in the student parking lot.  Garden cleanup was a pleasant experience once again

Garden Cleanip- Isaac Nguyen P5

This was my first time doing garden cleanup, and unfortunately, I only got to work in the garden for 1 hour this time. The time I was there consisted of cutting weeds down near the TSOTS garden using scissors, then placing them in the planter boxes to help cover unused soil

Garden cleanup -Jackson Dupler P-5

I did garden cleanup for my 1st time and i mainly cleaned the chicken coop which was very tedious work but very rewarding to be done I also was pulling weeds from underneath the tree. And for the final amount of time I had I helped reorganize the tool shed.
